DESCRIPTION

We conceptualized and delivered a captivating experience for the 2024 Christmas light switch-on at Plaça del Mercadal in Reus. "Diamants caiguts del cel" was designed to immerse the audience in a story-driven visual and sensory journey, centered on the collective energy of the crowd powering the illumination of the central Christmas tree. The setup included 32 Robe Pointes and 4 high-powered lasers, strategically positioned around the square to create dynamic, multi-layered lighting effects. Four smoke machines added atmospheric depth, enhancing the impact of the synchronized beams of light. For the sound design, we implemented a 4.0 surround audio system, enveloping the audience with an emotive and engaging soundtrack. The narrative unfolded with two failed attempts to light the tree, visually represented by dramatic bursts of light that dimmed suddenly, keeping the audience on edge. On the third attempt, the tree burst into life with a dazzling display of light, perfectly synchronized with music and visual effects. The grand finale featured a stunning fireworks display, filling the night sky with brilliance. Our team meticulously planned and choreographed every element to ensure a seamless integration of light, sound, and storytelling, creating an unforgettable experience that celebrated the festive spirit of Reus.
